The pages accessed at domain name:  http://www.cbsretirees.org  are created, formatted, edited, and maintained by Bob Lawson*. The pages are NON-commercial, they are maintained solely for viewing by former CBS personnel; for their enjoyment and entertainment. I receive input from former personnel, for which I thank them, but I am solely responsible for deciding what is put on the pages.

I am not compensated for maintaining these pages. I maintain the web site solely because I like doing so. As long as I enjoy the work I will continue. When I tire I will quit maintaining them and at that time I will make every effort to see that the information is passed along to someone with similar interest.

I make no effort to advertise these pages on any websites or search engines. However, as we all know, the World Wide Web is world wide and anyone in the world with the domain name can access the information on these pages; that doesn't bother me but it may bother you and in that case I suggest you don't participate.

My intention is to provide information that I feel fellow ex-cbs personnel will enjoy reading. I hope the end result of these pages will be to form the basis of a CBS Personnel Archive.

*Bob Lawson is a retired technician who started with CBS in April 1952, at CBS/KNX radio. A couple years later he transferred to KNXT. He did audio on the news. Later he became TD of the Big News. Later yet, he became technical supervisor working in CC. After the first thirty years he found CC work a bit dull so he coerced, pleaded, and was finally allowed to go out on the streets, a couple days per week, as an ENG sound man. They let the old man work with the kids. He got to partner with Joe Turner and that was good; Joe kept him out of trouble. In April 1988 (about 36 years later) He accepted an early buy-out and has been a CBS Retiree ever since.
